Welcome to The Mama Nest. I’m LaShae, and I am a full-time mama to two beautiful little boys, two and under! I am a Christian, wife, mother, PK, former kindergarten teacher, song leader, and have a love of all things artistic!
Growing up, I knew my calling in the job world was to be a teacher. Once I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree, I worked for two years as a first grade paraprofessional (teacher aide) to help with not only my special needs student who was amazing, but also all five first grade classes! From there I went on to teach kindergarten for five years. I’ll be honest, kindergarten scared me. But I fell in love with it, and I had a blast working with those sweet little kinders!
Although I loved teaching, I knew my life’s calling was to be a mother. So when I became pregnant in 2019 with my first beautiful little boy, my husband and I worked together on a plan to where I could quit to be a stay at home mom. It wasn’t a difficult decision, but it was hard all the same, and I still miss the excitement of the beginning of the school year, planning all the fun holiday events, and seeing the precious little faces of the boys and girls every day.
Now I’m on this motherhood journey, and boy has it been an adventure! Some things I thought I knew, some things I’ve learned, and there’s so much more I need to know! So this blog is designed to share all of these things and more!
